Why do teeth change color?
There are several causes of tooth discoloration, including food and drinks like coffee, tea, wine and tobacco. Medications and disease can also cause discoloration, and your teeth naturally darken with age.
How does Teeth Whitening work?
Teeth whitening is a simple process. Whitening products contain one of two tooth bleaches (hydrogen peroxide or carbamide peroxide). These bleaches break stains into smaller pieces, which makes the color less concentrated and your teeth brighter.
In-Office Teeth Whitening
The first professional option is commonly referred to as in-office whitening. This procedure is performed in a dental office. During an appointment, your dental professional will apply a whitening gel to the surface of your teeth. The entire office visit generally takes about 90 minutes and you will be able to see results immediately.
The KöR Whitening System
At Bullard Dental we use the KöR® whitening system, widely recognized as the most effective teeth whitening system available today. It works by restoring your teeth’s youthful ability to absorb oxygen. The oxygen from the whitening gel is absorbed deeply into the tooth, dissolving and removing stain molecules.
Zoom! Teeth Whitening
We also use the Zoom! in-office teeth whitening system, which is a patented treatment that guarantees your teeth will be up to eight times whiter in just 45 minutes. The lips and gums are protected with a protective barrier. The whitening gel is applied for three 15-minute sessions and your mouth is placed under an advanced power chair side lamp. Following the removal of the whitening gel, a soothing and protective gel is immediately applied to teeth.
Just like that you have a Hollywood-beautiful smile.
